House husband, common or not.?

My husband stays home to look after our 3 children. 2 at school,1 yr old at home. I have a fab job and earn enough to keep our family affairs in order. We have never had an issue until his family (yes bloody in laws) have started planting the seed. comments like men should work, she should take more responsibility. My husband is feeling rather down at moment. please advise
