First time break up advice?

I'm 16. My girlfriend just broke up with me. She was my first real girlfriend ever. I never really meet any girls so she was very special to me. We had a very fun friendship before we started going out and it stayed that way during. We still talk almost everyday now, but only as friends. To get to my actual question. When she broke up with me she gave me a couple reasons, but one has been stuck in my mind. She said I was over affectionate. I have no clue how to take this. I'm not a very tough guy. I'm more charming and sweet. I enjoy just snuggling for a while. I thought ladies liked that. Now I'm all confused by what she means. Any advice would be great.
