Does Obama's stance on the gas tax holiday reinforce the idea that he is at least a bit out of touch?

His reason for opposing it is that it will only amount to about a half of tank of "free" gas per person. I don't know about everyone else, but I have a lot of expenses and $24 or so dollars in gas would help me. It's certainly better than nothing. I think his stance is really inconsiderate. Just because half a tank of gas won't do much for Obama, doesn't mean it won't help others.
